Camera++ is an advanced camera application designed for professional and amateur photographers. Using Camera++ you have a greater control over capture settings, like ISO, White Balance or EV Offset. For some devices (BlackBerry Passport, Z30, Classic, etc.) you can even set a shutter speed! 

 

Camera++ app has several capture modes each of which takes a full advantage of camera hardware. The list of capture modes strictly depends on your hardware and differ for rear and front camera of the same device.

 

Supported capture modes: 

* PHOTO - take single or series of pictures with time delay (time-lapse)

* BURST - take a series of pictures in fast succession 

* MANUAL (some devices) - gives a possibility to manually set shutter speed

* SNAPSHOT - uses faster focusing mode

* EV Bracketing - gives a possibility to take a series of pictures with different exposure

* HDR - high dynamic range photography (manually select the effect of HDR)

* Video - standard video mode (manual selection of resolution and bitrate)

* HDR video (only BlackBerry Passport) - takes high-dynamic range video

* Fast video (60 frames per second, only some devices) - takes video with high frame per second rate

 

Camera++ supports several focusing modes:

* AUTO - focusing is triggered by tapping on screen (no auto-refocusing if camera or subject moved)

* C-AUTO - continuos focusing, follows the subject

* MACRO - similar to AUTO, but on some devices optimised for macro scenes

* C-MACRO - similar to C-AUTO, but on some devices optimised for macro scenes

* MANUAL - manual focus using a slider

 

The other features of Camera++ include:

 

* Flash modes: Auto, On, Off

* Scene modes: Auto, Whiteboard, Barcode, Action, Beach/Snow, Night

* White balance modes: Auto, Manual (list of values depends on hardware)

* ISO modes: Auto, Manual (list of values depends on hardware)

* EV Offsets: list of values depends on hardware

* Stabilisation modes: On, Off

* Timer: Off, 1-30sec

* Image count: 1-50 images

* Image delay (time lapse): 1-60 sec

* Resolution: list of values depends on hardware

* Geo tagging

 

For HDR capture mode only:

* HDR: soft, moderate, strong (strength of the HDR effect)

* Anti-ghost: 1-9 (higher value means stronger alignment will be applied to images)

 

For VIDEO modes only:

* Bitrate mode: variable and constant

* Bitrate: list of values depends on hardware (higher bitrate - higher quality, but also video file size)
