Is pMessenger working with BBM ?
Unfortunately BBM (or BlackBerry Messenger) is a closed protocol protected by RIM. This is why a version of pMessenger exists on BlackBerry. (Currently on BETA TEST)
Can I change my PMiD ?
Changing your PMiD will result in a instability of the whole system, so right now, we can't. However we will release a new feature soon that will answer to all your worries about that.
I'm on iPhone, I do not receive Push notification ?
Apple's push notification can be sometime a bit tricky :
Your iPhone is jailbroken : According to the jailbreak system you used, your push notification has been broken, in order to fix it, please install "Push Fix" or "Push doctor" from "Cydia". Once you have installed it, open pMessenger one more time to activate push notification on our servers. (Nothing has to be done on pMessenger, just open it)
Your iPhone is not jailbroken :
Sometimes your iPhone loses its connection to Apple's push notification servers, in order to fix that, put your iPhone in "Plane mode" for a few seconds, and disable it back, it will force a reconnection to Apple's push notification servers.
If your push notification still doesn't work, You have not accepted the push notification pop-up the first time you have opened pMessenger. Please go on your SpringBoard (The homepage of your iPhone), click on Settings, Notifications, pMessenger, activate all three switch, start once more pMessenger to set up push notification on our servers.
Last hope : it may come from your SIM Card. We have met a lot of costumer who contacted Apple who were redirected to their Carrier in order to get a new SIM Card. After that push notification was working great.
You bought a new Phone and want to keep your old PMiD ?
To keep your old PMiD there is a solution, restore your new phone with a backup of your old phone, at your first opening with your new phone, it will bind your new device with your old PMiD.
How much does it cost to use pMessenger ?
Once you have downloaded, or bought pMessenger, it is completely free on our parts. But you must have unlimited DATA PLAN from you Carrier since pMessenger use your internet connection.
Why there is a Facebook connection on pMessenger ?
We have integrated facebook connect to make your life easier. Indeed if you connect pMessenger with your facebook account, you will be able to access your facebook's friendlist (The "+" on the top right of the pMessenger contact list -> By facebook) from pMessenger and add with only on click all your friends who has pMessenger. The others who do not, you can send them a notification on facebook in order to tell them that your are using pMessenger and want them to download it as well.
What is PMiD ?
The PMiD is the identification hexa number that we are using to identify you. In order to add friends you need their PMiD, or reach them on facebook.
Where do I find my PMiD ?
on iPhone : Your PMiD is on the first line of the Settings page on pMessenger. Clicking on it will automatically copy it on your pasteboard, So you can easily share it by email, SMS, or any way you want.
on Android : On the contact list screen, click on Menu -> Your PMiD
on BlackBerry : On the contact list click on menu -> Edit my infos
How can I delete message history ?
On iPhone : On the main page, go on "Chat", click on the "edit" button on the top-right, and delete conversations (It won't delete your contacts)
On Android : Click on the contact you want, then on menu, "Remove conversation"
On BlackBerry : Click on the contact you want, then on menu, "Remove conversation"
I can't set my icon profile on the iPhone Version 1.2 (Free & Paid) ?
Sorry about that, this is a known bug, that will be fixed on the next release. However the profile icon is correctly changed when you choose it, only you don't see it. While we do fix this bug, you can add yourself to your contact list, it will fix the issue by itself. Again sorry !
I have activated Emojis on pMessenger (iPhone version) but I still do not have the Emojis keyboard ?
Activating the Emojis keyboard on pMessenger will only give you the possibility to select the keyboard on the iPhone's Settings.
Once you have activated the Emojis on pMessenger, please go on iPhones settings, General, International, Keyboard, Japonese, Activate Emoji switch.
I have the "......................" screen on BlackBerry ?
Please set your Carrier APN in your BlackBerry settings.
Get your Carrier APN on the net (Example Google search : ATT APN BlackBerry)
Go to Options -> Advanced Options -> TCP/IP -> Set here your APN
Is pMessenger coding will stop here ?
Of course not. We still have some really great features for pMessenger that we WILL implement. It will bring pMessenger out of being just a "BBM-Like" application. Believe us when we tell you that no "BBM-Like" application will have the same features than pMessenger, no one !
